A 1,420 sq. ft. deck in Oceanport, NJ. The decking is Ipe, a Brazilian hardwood. This deck features 3 distinct deck sections. The first deck section has a custom built-in Ipe bar, built-in Ipe bench with attached planter box. A firepit is built in the middle of the bar and bench for a great entertaining section. An Ipe box hides a speaker on this part of the deck to help set the mood. The planter box is faced with cultured stone. The middle section of this deck is for eating with a big open space for a table and a built-in kitchen faced in cultured stone. The last part of this deck features a 235 sq. ft. roof. The railing of this closed off section is made of Ipe with hidden panels. One panel hides storage under the kitchen cabinet and access to any electrical. Another panel detaches to allow access to the hot tub without having to step off the deck. Heat lamps were installed into the roof and an outdoor television was installed for a great outdoor room to use for most of the year.
